Clark Fork Valley Hospital (CFVH) is looking for a Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our Rehab Services team in Plains, Montana. We are taking a different approach to traditional employment and are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist interested in a 3–5 year contract employment arrangement.
This opportunity is designed for a professional who values autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance, while still wanting to be part of a supportive healthcare organization and community.
Why a Contract Position?
We recognize that traditional employment structures don't work for everyone. Our contract model gives the right candidate an opportunity to negotiate the terms of their employment while providing greater flexibility in how they manage their professional and personal commitments.
Benefits of the Contract Model May Include
- Negotiated compensation based on experience and the terms of the contract
- Immediate access to Paid Time Off (PTO) rather than having to accrue hours before using available leave
- Greater autonomy in managing your work-life balance
- The opportunity to establish a 3–5 year commitment with a stable healthcare organization
- A collaborative work environment where your experience and professional judgment are valued
- The ability to discuss and negotiate employment terms that work for both you and CFVH
While this position offers greater autonomy and flexibility, the Physical Therapist will remain an integral member of the CFVH team and will be expected to follow all facility policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. The position will work under the guidance and direction of the Rehab Services Manager.
Position Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist will provide quality physical therapy services to patients while working collaboratively with the Rehab Services team and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities Include
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide appropriate physical therapy interventions and treatments
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
Maintain Accurate and Timely Clinical Documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and other members of the healthcare team
- Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Follow CFVH policies and procedures and applicable federal and state regulations
- Maintain professional licensure and continuing education requirements
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered rehabilitation environment
What We're Looking For
- We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist who is:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Montana
- Dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Self-directed and comfortable working with a degree of professional autonomy
- Collaborative and willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Committed to maintaining professional standards and complying with facility policies
- Interested in establishing a longer-term relationship with CFVH through a 3–5 year contract
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and negotiated as part of the contract employment arrangement.
We believe experienced professionals should have an opportunity to discuss compensation and employment terms that appropriately reflect their skills, experience, and contributions.
