Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the end-to-end billing and coding process for family medicine providers, including claim submission and denial management. Works closely with staff to ensure accurate charge capture, documentation interpretation, and adherence to payer guidelines.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED and two to five years of experience in family practice coding. Professional certification such as CPC or AHIMA is preferred, along with extensive knowledge of medical coding standards and EMR systems.
