Under the supervision of nursing staff, the technician provides direct patient care and assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Essential functions include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing care during procedures, observing and recording patient behavior, and reporting condition changes to nursing staff.
Minimum qualifications require a High School diploma and a Nursing Assistant Certificate is preferred, with Basic Life Support certification required within 45 days of hire. Candidates must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the capacity to function appropriately in a stressful environment.
