We are seeking a Functional Family Therapist to join our team in Kennett Square, PA.

Position Details

FFT therapists conduct family therapy sessions, with each child assigned to his/her caseload using the FFT (Functional Family Therapy) model.

FFT therapists will manage a caseload of 10-12 families and services will be provided in the family home or community settings: with sessions being scheduled around the family's availability.

The FFT therapist will learn the FFT model and consult with direct supervisor and national consultant to achieve fidelity and adherence to the FFT model. Extensive training, supervision and consultation is provided.

FFT is an evidenced based practice.

Earn $31.37/hour + mileage reimbursement. A work cell phone and laptop is provided.

Position Details

The Functional Family Therapist will provide structured family therapy sessions to children and their families using the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model.

The therapist will maintain a caseload of 10–12 families and deliver services primarily in the family’s home, scheduling sessions based on family availability. This role includes completing training in the FFT model and working closely with a direct supervisor and national consultant to ensure fidelity to the model and successful outcomes for each family.

Schedule

All sessions are scheduled based on the needs of the family. The average caseload is 8–12 families, each seen at least once per week. Working hours vary, as staff have autonomy to schedule sessions directly with families. Most staff typically work shifts such as 10 a. m.–6 p. m., 11 a. m.–7 p. m., or 12 p. m.–8 p. m., and some may choose to work occasional Saturdays to accommodate client needs.

There is one mandatory in-office meeting every Monday at 10 a. m. Overall, the schedule offers flexibility similar to Family Based services.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or a related human service field is required.
• 1-3 years experience working with children/adolescents and their families in a similar role is required
• Experience facilitating family therapy preferred.
• Ability to Travel to client’s homes for the purpose of providing community and home-based services for children, adolescents, and families. (must have valid driver’s license, and their own reliable vehicle) is required
