Full Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide a full range of psychiatric services to students, including evaluation, diagnosis, pharmacotherapy, medication management, and occasional psychotherapy, while also consulting with professional staff and participating in treatment team sessions. Responsibilities also include providing emergency psychiatric services, communicating with external providers, and developing clinical policies and protocols for psychiatric care.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing (Adult or Family Practice NP) or a sole Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, along with additional PMHNP certification or equivalent education, and must be Board Certified by ANA and ANCC. Required credentials include a current New York RN and PMHNP License with prescriptive privileges, an active DEA License, and BLS certification, along with specific accumulated clinical hours depending on the certification path.
