About the Role
Performance Pediatrics is looking for a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our growing team in Lafayette, NJ! This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families by delivering high-quality, specialized physical therapy care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat pediatric patients across a range of developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and evidence-based practices
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, and functional mobility
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to support each child's progress
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Educate and train parents and caregivers on home exercise programs and therapeutic strategies
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of New Jersey
- NJ School Certification
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
- Experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory processing, and pediatric rehabilitation techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and care teams
- CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children of all ages and abilities
