Job DetailsJob Location: Onslow Ambulatory Services - Jacksonville, NC 28546Position Type: Full Time 1.0Job Shift: DayJob Category: PhysicianPhysician Assistants (PAs) are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision.
Common services provided by PAs include taking medical histories and performing physical examinations; ordering and interpreting lab tests; diagnosing and treating illnesses; prescribing medications and counseling patients.
PAs work autonomously and also in collaboration with physicians and other health care team members. For purposes of the OMH Medical Staff By-laws, Physician Assistants are considered dependent-practice allied health professionals and are credentialed through medical staff processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program Current unrestricted license to practice as PA in North Carolina Maintains national certification Current BLS and ACLS certification Credentialed privileges per medical staff Designated supervising physician per NCBOM
Key Responsibilities
Physician Assistants provide medical care by taking histories, performing exams, and diagnosing or treating illnesses. They work in collaboration with physicians and other team members to provide comprehensive patient counseling and medication management.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program and hold a current, unrestricted license in North Carolina. National certification along with current BLS and ACLS certifications are required for this role.
