The Peer Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented support by using lived experience to mentor members and help them navigate community-based systems. They are responsible for building supportive relationships, facilitating peer connections, and maintaining accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and personal lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the service area are required, along with current or provisional Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification.
