Job Description

Inova Children’s is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Child Neurologist to join our growing pediatric team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized children’s health system and contribute to the continued expansion of comprehensive pediatric specialty care throughout Northern Virginia. This full-time position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Inova Children’s Neurology is seeking to add a hospital-based Child Neurologists to a growing team with expertise in fetal-neonatal neurology, epilepsy, neuromuscular, headache, concussion/TBI, neuro-oncology, and hospital care. The Inova Children’s Neurology team collaborates in patient care with Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Neuroimaging, Neuro-oncology, Genetics, Psychiatry, Developmental Pediatrics, and Neuropathology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Child Neurology
  • Training: Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Neurology Residency Program
  • License: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
  • Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Key Responsibilities

Provide inpatient consultative services and hospital-based care for pediatric patients within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities also include teaching medical students and residents in a clinical setting.

Requirements

Must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified or eligible in Child Neurology. Requires completion of an ACGME accredited residency and a current unrestricted medical license in Virginia.
