The Speech Pathologist provides independent assessment and treatment for patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders across various clinical settings. They also participate in department projects, provide in-service education, and mentor students or junior staff.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an ASHA accredited program and possess a current Virginia SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. A minimum of one to two years of clinical experience in evaluation and treatment of speech and swallowing disorders is required.
