Mental Health Therapist

Join Anew Behavioral Health as a Mental Health Therapist in Akron, Ohio. *This position will provide oversight at our partner site – the Community Roots Center, serving the Wilbeth and Erickson Homes. This is inner city work with a day treatment program of children in grades K-5.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced counseling skills to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and perform diagnostic interviews for behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) clients.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family-oriented therapy sessions to address client needs and promote recovery.

• Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered, client progress, and treatment outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, their families, case managers, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.

• NPI number and Ohio Medicaid ID are preferred and required to start work.
