Position Summary
Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Cardiologist to join our medical staff in Westchester, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
The Cardiologist will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiology services and participate in the continued development and growth of cardiovascular services at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology care.
- Perform and interpret appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic testing within the physician's scope of practice and privileges.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs.
- Provide consultations for hospitalized patients requiring cardiovascular evaluation and management.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions, treatment options, medications, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and federal and New York State regulatory requirements.
- Participate in call coverage and other clinical responsibilities as determined by departmental needs.
- Support the continued growth and development of cardiology services at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- New York State medical license
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine
- Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology
- Board Certified in Echocardiography
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Completion of Cardiology fellowship training
- Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
