This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Ascension Medical Group Seton Arbor Trails located in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.

Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.

Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Requirements

Candidates must be a licensed Physician Assistant in Texas and certified by the NCCPA. A graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required, with a preference for a Master's degree and one year of experience.
