The physician provides primary medical care to PACE participants, including assessment, care plan development, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. They also manage participant care in nursing homes, oversee specialist referrals, and assist in the development of clinical policies and quality assurance standards.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with a current, active physician license, DEA registration, and CDS certification. A minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice are required.
