Nurse Practitioner

Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a full-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our RWJ hospital-based critical care team. This position provides advanced clinical care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced ICU environment while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU

• Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage ongoing care

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs

• Perform procedures within scope of practice

• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

• Respond to patient emergencies and rapid changes in condition

• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New Jersey

• Critical Care, Acute Care, or ICU experience preferred

• Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills

• ACLS certification required

• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based environment
