Key Responsibilities
- Determine clients’ diagnosis and psychiatric needs, prescribe the medication to be utilized during the course of treatment, including Medication
- Assisted Treatment (MAT) and substance use treatment, monitor treatment course and provide education.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, psychiatric updates, health monitoring, and crisis intervention as needed and required by regulations.
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue drugs and treatments to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of a four (4) year recognized medical school; must have completed residency in appropriate field.
- Must possess a current NYS physician license and be a Board eligible/certified in field of specialty.
- DEA license.
- MAT Certified preferred.
