Job Description

Practice medicine the way it was meant to be practiced.

If you've ever felt like the traditional healthcare system gets in the way of actually caring for your patients, Direct Primary Care is the answer — and KerixHealth is the leader in doing it right. We're looking for a Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician to join our growing practices in Fairfax and Ashburn, Virginia, where smaller patient panels, longer appointments, and genuine relationships are the standard, not the exception.

The Opportunity

You'll be stepping into two established, thriving clinics with a loyal and growing patient base — not building from scratch. You'll work alongside an experienced physician colleague who has spent years cultivating deep community trust, and you'll have the immediate ability to make a meaningful impact as patient demand continues to grow.

This is primary care with purpose: proactive, accessible, comprehensive, and completely free from the RVU treadmill.

About KerixHealth

Founded in 2009, KerixHealth is one of the nation's most established Direct Primary Care organizations, with more than 20 clinic locations and a network of over 100 affiliated DPC practices across the country. For more than 15 years, our mission has been straightforward: restore the physician-patient relationship and build a healthcare experience centered on accessibility, prevention, continuity, and exceptional service.

We've spent 15 years helping physicians rediscover why they went into medicine in the first place — and we'd like to help you do the same.

  • Why This Role Stands Out
  • Join established, growing practices — no cold starts or empty panels
  • Work alongside experienced, like-minded physicians who genuinely value relationship-based care
  • Longer appointment times that let you actually listen, think, and connect
  • Quality and prevention focused — not volume, not RVUs
  • Broad-scope family medicine with the freedom to fully use your clinical skills
  • Strong clinical and operational support so you can focus on patients
  • Collaborative, physician-led culture
  • Stable organization with a proven model and over 15 years of track record

What You'll Do

You'll provide comprehensive primary care across our Fairfax and Ashburn clinics — preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and care coordination — for a purposefully limited patient panel.

You'll develop long-term relationships with patients and families, collaborate closely with physician colleagues and support staff, and serve as a trusted health advocate for the people in your care. Broad-scope practice is encouraged; we want you using the full depth of your training.

Schedule: 4 days in clinic + 1 half-day for administrative work

  • Clinics open Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
  • Daytime schedule shared between Fairfax and Ashburn locations
  • Limited after-hours support for your panel, with coverage provided during your scheduled time off

What We're Looking For

Required

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Med/Peds
  • Active Virginia medical license, or ability to obtain one prior to start
  • Minimum 5 years of post-residency clinical experience (preferred)
  • Strong commitment to evidence-based medicine and outstanding patient care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for comprehensive, patient-centered primary care
  • Professional malpractice history in good standing

Preferred

Experience in Direct Primary Care, Concierge Medicine, or other relationship-based care models, or interest in these models

  • Comfort managing a broad range of primary care conditions independently
  • Community-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to build lasting patient relationships
  • Interest in contributing to the continued growth of an established, respected practice

If you're ready to practice medicine on your terms — with the time, support, and patient relationships that make it worth it — we'd love to talk.
