Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day
Are you a California-licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) looking for a role where you can build meaningful relationships with participants while providing high-quality occupational therapy care?
We’re seeking a compassionate and skilled COTA with adult and/or geriatric experience to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team. This is an opportunity to move beyond high-volume therapy settings and provide personalized care focused on helping participants maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.
Pediatric-only experience does not meet the ideal profile for this role.
Why You'll Love This Role
Lower patient volumes – No seeing 3–4 patients per hour
Meaningful relationships – Build long-term connections with participants rather than short-term rehab interactions
Collaborative environment – Work closely with OTs, therapists, providers, and other disciplines
Better work-life balance – No after-hours documentation
Holistic care approach – Help participants achieve greater independence in their daily lives
Varied setting – Provide care at the center and in participants’ homes
What You'll Do
Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will:
Implement occupational therapy treatment programs established by the OT
Provide restorative and rehabilitative services to help participants maximize independence and safety
Assist with obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength measurements
Coordinate with the Rehabilitation team to carry out individualized treatment plans
Provide interventions involving adaptive devices, therapeutic techniques, activities, and exercises
Support muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, endurance, and ADL performance
Schedule participant treatments and clinical visits
Complete accurate clinical documentation and billing-related responsibilities
Communicate participant progress and condition updates with the interdisciplinary team

Required
Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) from an accredited program
Valid California OTA license or proof of license eligibility
Knowledge and skills to work with frail, elderly participants with complex needs
