Responsibilities & Requirements

The Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accurate and safe operation of specialized equipment while supporting patient care and comfort.

This role collaborates with the healthcare team to monitor patient responses, maintain compliance with safety protocols, and uphold regulatory standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program (associate's or bachelor's degree) or equivalent as recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Clinical experience in radiation therapy as part of an accredited educational program.

Certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required on hire. Current Ohio radiologic license required prior to start date. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work experience as a radiation therapist in a clinical setting.
