Key Responsibilities

The coder is responsible for assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes to medical documentation while supporting provider workflows and denial management. They also serve as a subject matter expert to ensure compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate degree in Health Information Technology or a relevant coding certification. Professional certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or CCS are required, or must be obtained within one year of hire.
