The Department of Psychiatry at The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a part-time Social Worker II to serve within the Addiction Medicine Division. This position serves as the social worker on the University of Iowa Health Care Addiction Medicine Consult Service.
This position offers weekends off. Work with University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
The social worker will provide clinical support within the Addiction Medicine Consult Service by conducting psychosocial assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for patients. They will also coordinate discharge planning, facilitate harm reduction strategies, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in social work and possess 6 months to 1 year of clinical social work experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with a master's degree considered a desirable qualification.
