100% Remote- Must Hold an Active California License | $70–$80/Hour | 1099 Independent Contractor | Flexible Schedule | 20+ Hours/Week
Open Mind Health (OMH) is expanding and actively recruiting fully licensed California therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or licensed Psychologist [PsyD/PhD]) with experience providing trauma-informed therapy and support for PTSD, complex trauma, grief, bereavement, loss, traumatic stress, and related mental health concerns.
This is a 100% remote telehealth opportunity offering $70–$80/hour, flexible scheduling, and a minimum commitment of 20 hours of recurring weekly availability.
Applicants may reside outside California. Active, unrestricted California clinical licensure is required, as this position serves clients located in California. We are not currently accepting associate-level applicants for this role.

What You'll Do
Provide virtual psychotherapy to California clients experiencing anxiety, depression, mood concerns, chronic stress, burnout, and life transitions
Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on presenting concerns and treatment goals
Utilize evidence-guided therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT-informed interventions, mindfulness-based strategies, and other appropriate modalities
Help clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, resilience, and tools for managing anxiety and depressive symptoms
Deliver culturally responsive, client-centered care tailored to each client's experiences, background, and goals
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the broader care team as appropriate
- Practice within applicable professional, licensing, ethical, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted California license as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or licensed Psychologist (PsyD/PhD)
Strong Clinical Assessment and Psychotherapy Skills
- Experience providing trauma-informed care and/or treating trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, or related concerns
- Commitment to evidence-based and evidence-guided care
- Comfortable using technology and telehealth platforms
- Passion for providing culturally responsive, client-centered care
- Ability to maintain a minimum of 20 hours of recurring weekly availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience treating PTSD, complex trauma, traumatic stress, grief, and bereavement
- Training or experience in trauma-focused modalities such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), or other evidence-based trauma treatments
- Experience providing grief counseling or bereavement support
- Experience providing trauma-informed care through telehealth
- Licensure in multiple states
- Membership in Social Work, Counseling, MFT, or PSYPACT compacts, where applicable
- Additional language proficiency (Spanish is highly desirable)
- Experience working with diverse or underserved populations

Compensation within the posted range is based on relevant clinical expertise, years of experience, and licensure.
