About Grandview KIDS

Grandview Kids provides an array of specialized programs, rehabilitation services, and outpatient clinical treatments to children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs.

Programs and services – which are delivered at the Centre, in the community, at schools, and in-home – include: medical consultation, assessment, and diagnosis; audiology, autism support; complex care program; occupational therapy; physiotherapy; respite services; social work; speech-language pathology; therapeutic recreation; and family engagement.

Grandview Kids actively participates in research to support innovation in rehabilitation science, to advance organizational capabilities, and to better serve caregivers and the developmental needs of their children and adolescents.

Grandview Kids is now accepting applications for the position of:

Registered Dietitian (Contract Full Time) 1 Position

• Contract Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week (1FTE)
• Salary Range - $37.94 - $47.91 per hour, depending upon experience
• Contraction Duration: May 2026 – November 2027
• Onsite/Hybrid

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager and in collaboration with the medical and interdisciplinary team, the Registered Dietitian provides direct clinical care to Grandview clients that is consistent with standards of clinical practice and ensures that nutrition services are delivered in a manner which enhances family-centred care and are consistent with Grandview Kids’ mission, vision, values and policies; provides leadership, education, consultation and advocacy in children’s rehabilitation services; maintains professional competence, maintains communication with all other staff members; participating in education, maintaining a safe work environment; participating in the Centre’s Quality Improvement Program; maintains a safe work environment and carries out other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Conducts nutrition assessments and collaborates with families and caregivers to develop an individualized intervention and nutrition care plan
• Implements and evaluates nutrition care plan to promote optimal nutrition status
• Communicates nutrition recommendations to appropriate team members
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to develop educational information for clients, parents, and other service providers about nutritional care or topics as appropriate
• Provides education to interdisciplinary team, clients and families regarding nutritional care plan of clients or other necessary/appropriate topics
• Maintain up to date with current dietetic science and practice
• Electronic documentation of all clinical assessments, interventions and related care occurrences
• Contributes to innovative approaches for care of pediatric clients with complex medical and nutritional needs

Qualifications

• Degree and/or equivalent in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from am accredited university program
• Completion of accredited dietetic internship program or a recognized equivalent
• Registered in good standing with the College of Dietitian's of Ontario
• One-year related work experience as a clinical dietitian in a healthcare setting, preferred
• Demonstrated experience working with children with complex medical and nutritional needs
• Competence in the practice of evidence-based clinical nutrition and inter-professional care, with experience in the application of practice models and outcome measures
• Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills with clients, families/caregivers, team members, and community partners
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

This position is a member of the bargaining unit which is represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and as such will be bound under the terms of the collective agreement.

You are a reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional able to work effectively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team as well as families and community partners. You have a driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

You can work flexible hours outside of normal work hours, and possess a valid Ontario driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle, or have efficient and reliable transportation. You have a deep commitment to family-centred care and a passion for working with others to support children to live life at their full potential. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
