Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a full-time AP/CP Pathologist; NYS COQ strongly desired.
- Salary: $375,000
- Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
- Location: Cooperstown, NY
- Job Description & Responsibilities
Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network
- Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out
- General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory
Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) examined annually with the support of Pathologist’s Assistants and Cytotechnologists
Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region
Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
MD, Do
- BC/BE
- Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and NYS certificate of qualification (COQ)
- BLS Certification Required
Compensation
Annual Salary: $375,000.
This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

Key Responsibilities
The pathologist will perform anatomic and clinical pathology sign-outs while overseeing laboratory operations for the integrated network. Responsibilities also include teaching duties and collaborating with a team of pathologists, assistants, and cytotechnologists.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified or eligible in pathology. Possession of or the ability to obtain New York State licensure and a certificate of qualification is required.
