Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include adhering to the state practice act, maintaining licensure, treating patients with proper documentation supporting medical necessity, and facilitating open communication with physicians, co-workers, and patients.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program and hold a current state license to practice as a physical therapist assistant, along with CPR certification. They must also maintain licensure and regularly complete continuing education to stay current in the practice of physical therapy.
