Job Description
Are you passionate about advancing bovine reproduction while building lasting relationships with progressive cattle producers? At Trans Ova, you'll have the opportunity to work at the forefront of reproductive technology, helping customers maximize the genetic potential of their herds through in-vitro fertilization (IVF), ovum pick-up (OPU), and embryo transfer (ET), and reproductive consulting.
We're seeking a Professional Service Veterinarian to support our growing Florida and Georgia region.
This field-based role combines technical expertise, producer interaction, and business development, making it an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys working independently, traveling throughout cattle country, and making a direct impact on customer success.
Whether you're an experienced reproduction veterinarian or an ambitious new graduate eager to learn, we'll provide the support and development needed to help you succeed.
If you're excited about helping producers achieve exceptional reproductive and genetic outcomes while growing your career in one of the most innovative sectors of animal agriculture, we'd love to hear from you. Join Trans Ova Genetics and help shape the future of bovine reproduction.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound-guided ovum pickup (OPU) and embryo transfer procedures at client operations and satellite locations.
- Support IVF and embryo production programs for beef and dairy producers.
- Build trusted relationships with producers while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Partner with clients to improve reproductive performance and achieve their genetic goals.
- Assist with herd health, reproductive management, biosecurity, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Travel throughout Florida and Georgia to support customer operations, satellite facilities, and regional growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with embryologists, veterinarians, and operations teams to expand Trans Ova's presence within the region.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent required.
- USDA-APHIS accreditation required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required state veterinary licenses.
- Experience with bovine reproduction, embryo transfer, OPU, or IVF programs is preferred, but not required.
- Strong desire to learn and develop advanced reproductive skills through hands-on training.
- Ability to work independently and manage a highly mobile, field-based schedule.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel daily throughout the territory, including periodic overnight travel.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive bovine reproductive procedures.
