Key Responsibilities

• Reviews written prescriptions to determine patients needs due to condition, with no anticipated reaction.

• Advises physicians and nurses on dosage adjustment, drug interactions, drug/lab interactions, high risk patients, incompatibilities, side effects, and instructions for drug administration.

• Attends continuing education programs and reads professional literature to keep current of developments in the field and to maintain licensure.

• Participates in development and implementation of patients education programs, pharmaceutical care and lecture programs for nurses, other paramedical personnel and patient counseling.

Requirements

• To qualify you must have a Pharm. D. or BS in Pharmacy required.

• Ability to walk and/or stand for 85% of the work time.

• Knowledge of clinical intervention, and the ability to meet the specific needs of the patient population.

• Knowledge of and in-depth understanding of pharmaceuticals to prepare and dispense medications.

Benefits & Compensation

• Pay rate: $86/hour.
