Overview

Sensibly Sprouted is seeking a Senior Dietitian, Senior Practice to provide exceptional Medical Nutrition Therapy while serving as a trusted clinical and professional influence across the Dietetics Team and broader practice.

Senior Practice is designed for Dietitians who demonstrate sustained excellence in patient care, mature clinical judgment, strong professional presence, and meaningful influence on team performance and culture.

The Senior Dietitian maintains full responsibility for high-quality patient care and strong operational performance while also mentoring and supporting other Dietitians, contributing to onboarding and development, strengthening team stability and performance through influence, and representing Sensibly Sprouted professionally within the organization and community.

Senior Practice is not a management role and does not include formal supervisory authority.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Dietitian maintains the complete clinical and operational responsibilities of a highly proficient patient-facing Dietitian while contributing beyond their individual caseload.

Responsibilities include

• Deliver consistent, high-quality Medical Nutrition Therapy across a broad range of patient needs
• Exercise mature clinical judgment in complex and challenging patient situations
• Maintain strong patient engagement, continuity of care, progress, and retention
• Consistently meet clinical, documentation, scheduling, productivity, and operational expectations
• Model the Sensibly Sprouted Approach and established clinical and professional standards
• Mentor and support Developing and Primary Practice Dietitians
• Contribute to onboarding, precepting, and development of other Dietitians
• Strengthen team performance, engagement, consistency, and stability through example and influence
• Serve as a trusted resource to peers while maintaining appropriate role boundaries
• Demonstrate composure, sound judgment, accountability, and professional presence in challenging situations

Represent Sensibly Sprouted professionally in provider, professional, community, and organizational relationships

Contribute to the reputation, referral relationships, and long-term growth of the practice

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate readiness to perform the complete Senior Practice role.

Required qualifications include

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
• Applicable state licensure or eligibility for required licensure

Prior title, advanced credentials, or years of experience may contribute to evaluation but do not independently establish qualification for Senior Practice.

Role Structure

Senior Practice is a patient-facing MNT pathway and remains grounded in direct patient care.

The Senior Dietitian operates with a high degree of clinical and professional independence while maintaining responsibility for the clinical, productivity, scheduling, documentation, and operational requirements of the role.

This is not a management role and does not include formal supervisory authority.

The additional value of Senior Practice comes through sustained excellence and broader influence. Senior Dietitians help elevate team performance and consistency through mentorship, professional example, onboarding and development support, and a stabilizing presence across the team.

Performance Expectations

Senior Dietitians are expected to maintain sustained high-level performance across patient care, operational execution, and broader contribution to the Dietetics Team.

Compensation

Initial base compensation for Senior Practice is determined by demonstrated readiness for the complete role, relevant experience, and the depth and consistency of the candidate’s Senior Practice contribution.

Placement toward the upper end of the expected initial range reflects stronger evidence of complete Senior Practice proficiency at entry. Placement above the expected initial range requires substantial directly transferable evidence across the complete Senior Practice scope.

Salary progression within the range is not automatic. A Senior Practice Dietitian who enters below the full-proficiency reference may reasonably progress toward that reference as complete-role proficiency, independence, and sustained effectiveness are demonstrated. Progression above the full-proficiency reference requires sustained evidence of exceptional value within the established Senior Practice role.

For internal candidates, the selection process includes review of sustained clinical and operational performance, Lead nomination, and other evidence of Senior Practice readiness.

External candidates are evaluated through the applicable hiring and selection process to determine whether prior experience and demonstrated capability establish equivalent readiness for the complete Senior Practice role.

Final selection is determined by the Chief Dietetics Officer based on demonstrated readiness for the complete role.
