Summary
This position assumes responsibility for caring for and completing tasks that contribute to high quality, safe and effective care. This position will execute protocols, administer respiratory therapies, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments.
This position works under the supervision of the Director and Assistant Director and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
Duties
- Evaluates and assesses patient’s respiratory needs to make recommendations.
- Administers medications and treatments based on patient outcomes.
- Delivers and assesses patient response to ordered therapy.
- Monitors, records and communicates patients condition and response to stimuli.
- Provides patient education for disease, medications and treatment.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent; Graduated from an accredited respiratory therapy program approved by the NBRC, where clinical rotations were completed.
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist and RCP - Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support and PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support within 6 months of hire
- 1-2 years experience preferred

This role is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and effective patient care by executing protocols and administering necessary respiratory therapies. The therapist will also evaluate patient respiratory needs, administer medications, and educate patients and families on conditions and treatments.
