Key Responsibilities

The counselor is responsible for providing substance abuse treatment programs, conducting client assessments, and developing individualized service plans. They also facilitate curriculum-based education groups and maintain accurate, confidential client records in accordance with agency policies.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's or master's degree preferred. A Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification is required or must be obtained within two years of employment.
