Position Summary

Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician's request.

Position Key Accountabilities

  • Essential Functions
  • Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
  • Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
  • Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
  • Prepares patient for radiographic procedures.
  • Assists in the accurate timing and positioning techniques.
  • Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork.
  • Maintains inventory supplies, coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic.

Must be able to respond to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills

Licensed Radiologic Technologist as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board required

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required

Minimum Education

Graduate from an approved two year program in Radiologic technology required

Physical Requirements

Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.

Requires a degree from an approved two-year radiologic technology program. Must hold MRT licensure from the Texas Medical Board and ARRT certification.
