Key Responsibilities

The pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care by evaluating drug therapy and educating patients and healthcare professionals. They are also responsible for accurately dispensing medications, managing intravenous solutions, and supervising technical staff.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a PharmD degree and possess current licensure in the State of Alabama, including controlled substances and parenteral permits. Experience in a health system is preferred, along with proficiency in operating pharmacy-specific equipment and software.
