The HIV Prevention Specialist coordinates the grant-funded HIV test site and serves as a patient advocate and non-medical case manager for the psychosocial team. They are responsible for enrolling patients in the Ryan White program, conducting HIV testing, and providing health education and risk reduction counseling.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in public health, psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field, or have at least two years of relevant experience. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum of two years of experience in a public health or clinical setting and obtain state-sponsored HIV prevention counseling and testing certification within three months of hire.
