Key Responsibilities

The general dentist is responsible for diagnosing and treating oral diseases, injuries, and malformations using various dental instruments and diagnostic procedures. They also provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral hygiene, and coordinate laboratory services while adhering to safety and OSHA protocols.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a DDS or DMD degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida. A current BLS and CPR certificate are required, while completion of a GPR or AEGD residency is preferred.
