Job Description
Job Details: Job Location: Lake Region Healthcare Corporation - FERGUS FALLS, MN, Position Type: 80 Hours Biweekly, Salary Range: $31.39 - $42.20Hourly, The Outpatient Dietitian provides evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling to patients in the outpatient setting, with a primary focus on weight management and additional nutrition-related conditions as referred by providers.
The position provides individualized nutrition assessment, education, counseling, goal setting, and follow-up to support sustainable behavior change and improved health outcomes.
The Dietitian may support patients using anti-obesity medications and collaborates with providers and the healthcare team to address nutrition-related needs. This position may provide services at outreach locations as needed.
The Outpatient Dietitian is an individual contributor with no direct supervisory or leadership responsibilities. This position interacts regularly with patients, families, providers, clinical support staff, and community partners.
Strong interpersonal communication, patient education, clinical judgment, confidentiality, organization, and the ability to work independently are essential to success in this role.
Hours/Shifts 80 Hours Bi-weekly, Day Shifts, Monday to Friday.
Compensation Hourly Wage Range
$31.39-$42.20. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. Education/Special Skills: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or similar major. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening. Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled.
Licensure/Certifications required within 6 months of hire: Licensed as a dietitian with the state of MN licensing board. Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential expected within 2 years of hire.
Current CDCES or BC-ADM certification is preferred. Work Experience: Experience providing outpatient nutrition counseling, weight management, and/or Medical Nutrition Therapy is preferred. Academic and/or experiential preparation in the care of people with chronic diseases. Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both orally and in writing.
