Key Responsibilities

The pharmacist delivers patient-focused pharmaceutical care by reviewing physician orders, checking for drug incompatibilities, and ensuring appropriate medication preparation. They also supervise pharmacy staff, maintain safety standards, and provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Pharmacy degree (BS or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-approved college and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Iowa. Additionally, they must obtain BLS certification and complete mandatory reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
