Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OTR) to provide patient-centered therapy services that improve residents’ independence and quality of life. This role focuses on evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy services per physician orders and care goals
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and timely
- Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy programs
- Participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Conduct staff in-services and training
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and payer regulations
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OTR) license (in good standing)
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
