We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician in AP/CP to serve as a Staff Pathologist and SME for our developing Digital Pathology Program. This position combines surgical pathology case work (interpretation of ER/PR/HER2 and MRP IHC and future companion diagnostics IHC) with dedicated time to support our region-wide digital pathology transition to a fully digital group. Case work will be considered a shared responsibility with the other Pathologists in the department. Digital pathology program oversight includes development of the laboratory's whole slide imaging (WSI) strategy and execution, including evaluation and selection of computational and AI applications.

Lead Digital Pathology Operations - Drive the strategy, design, and optimization of digital pathology workflows from slide scanning through digital sign-out.

Advance Computational Pathology & AI - Evaluate, validate, and implement AI-powered image analysis and decision-support solutions to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

Enable Enterprise Integration - Partner with IT, laboratory informatics, and vendor teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and integrated digital pathology systems.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance & Quality - Lead validation efforts and quality programs to maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, FDA, and California regulatory requirements.

Champion Education & Adoption - Train pathologists, promote digital-first best practices, and support successful organizational change across the department.
