Job Description
Speech Pathologist diagnosis speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders. Provides Speech Therapy Evaluations and treatments as documented in the plan of care. Works with radiology completing MBS. Provides education to patients, their families, co-workers, and physicians.
- Minimum of MA or MS in Speech Pathology.
- One (1) year Hospital Acute Care experience.
- Current Florida Speech Pathology License, current BLS Certification.
Key Responsibilities
The Speech Pathologist is responsible for diagnosing speech, language, swallowing, and communication disorders, and providing therapy evaluations and treatments according to the plan of care. This role also involves completing MBS studies with radiology and educating patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of an MA or MS in Speech Pathology and have one year of experience in a Hospital Acute Care setting. Required credentials include a current Florida Speech Pathology License and current BLS Certification.
