The counselor completes comprehensive assessments of substance abuse history and develops individualized treatment plans for clients. They also provide individual and group counseling while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and case management records.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance. The ability to obtain a Missouri Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) certification within the first 30 days of employment is required.
