The casual Radiation Therapist position is scheduled as needed, depending on clinic needs. This is a Monday-Friday position with no weekends, holidays, or on-call rotations required.
The Radiation Therapist provides specialized, patient-centered care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, operates treatment and simulation equipment and technology, supports treatment planning, and adheres to quality and safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities include treatment delivery and imaging, CT simulations, patient positioning, patient monitoring, machine quality assurance, and documentation within the EHR. The Radiation Therapist possesses the knowledge and skill to accurately deliver doses of radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, ensure patient safety, monitor the effects of radiation, and effectively interact and collaborate with patients, family members, and staff.
Education Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
- 1+ year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred but not required
Licensure/Certification Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiation Therapy
- North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board of Examiners licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification
