Job Details: Job Location: Evangelical Home Saline - Saline, MI, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $85000.00 - $90000.00Salary/year, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Nurse, EHM Senior Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the leadership and daily operations of our Nursing department. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing with overseeing daily nursing operations, resident care, and departmental programs. Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of nursing staff.
Monitor infection control and antibiotic stewardship programs to promote resident safety and regulatory compliance. Conduct clinical rounds and audits to ensure quality care and adherence to facility policies and procedures.
Monitor resident rehospitalizations and support staff education and interventions to reduce avoidable hospital transfers. Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives, resident care planning, and wound care oversight.
Prepare for state surveys, inspections, and audits while supporting compliance with skilled nursing regulations. Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and resolve concerns.
Support ongoing staff education, policy implementation, and clinical performance improvement. Assume nursing department leadership responsibilities in the Director of Nursing’s absence.
Hours
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM On call: rotating evening and weekend on-call coverage responsibility Qualifications: Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: Active RN license in the State of Michigan in good standing CPR certification Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a skilled nursing facility in a management role Required Skills and Abilities: Prior knowledge of: Skilled nursing rules and regulations Infection control Quality assurance Performance improvement plans Wound care Rehospitalization oversight Resident care planning Personnel management Previous experience with use of PointClickCare Basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel) Soft Skills Necessary: Excellent observation and assessment skills Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize & problem solve Passion for senior living and skilled nursing industry Strong organizational, communication & conflict resolution skills Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team Excellent written and verbal communication skills
