Join Freedom Recovery Centers as a Therapist in Virginia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.

• Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care, to address each client’s needs.

• Offer empathetic support, helping clients to identify underlying issues, develop coping skills, and establish positive behaviors.

• Treatment Planning and Documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

• Current licensure in Virginia as an LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW, MSW, Resident in Counseling, Supervisee in Social Work.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment or mental health counseling.

• Strong understanding of addiction recovery, evidence-based therapies, and co-occurring disorders.
