Job Description
SportsMed Physical Therapy is one of the fastest-growing multidisciplinary rehabilitation practices in New Jersey. Our services include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Hand Therapy, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture. We treat a diverse patient population, including athletes, weekend warriors, post-surgical patients, older adults, desk workers, and individuals recovering from a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and functional conditions.
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist focused on functional rehabilitation to join our growing team. This role is centered on helping patients improve their ability to perform everyday activities, regain independence, and return to the activities that are important to them.

What You'll Do
- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of physical, functional, and orthopedic limitations
- Help patients improve their ability to safely and independently perform activities of daily living
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's functional needs, goals, and lifestyle
- Address limitations involving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, endurance, and functional movement
- Incorporate therapeutic activities designed to improve patients' ability to perform everyday tasks
Work with patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or other conditions affecting their ability to function independently
Educate patients and appropriate caregivers on treatment plans, home programs, and strategies to promote continued progress
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress
- Communicate effectively with patients, referring providers, and other members of the SportsMed team
- Collaborate with other disciplines when appropriate to support the patient's overall rehabilitation goals

Strong Clinical Reasoning and Problem-solving Skills
Ability to evaluate how physical and functional limitations affect a patient's ability to perform everyday tasks
