Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering routine respiratory care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across various clinical settings. They perform procedures such as ventilator management, intubation assistance, and arterial blood gas analysis while participating in resuscitation and rapid response teams.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or associate degree and be a graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program. A current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Iowa and NBRC credentialing are required.
