Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner- Correctional Facility

LOCATION: Lompoc, CA 93436

Job Description

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the adult in custody population.

• Take medical histories, examine patients, and order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays.

• Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications.

• Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing.

• Attend to medical emergencies.

• Record progress notes, recommend clinically necessary outside consultation, instruct and counsel, and order or carry out therapy.

• Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary. Perform minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits.

Qualifications

• California Nurse License

• Driver's License

• BLS- AHA Certificate

Education

• Graduation certification of a credited school.

• Continuing on-going medical education

Schedule

• The contractor shall perform eight (1) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week excluding Federal Holidays.

• 7:30 am- 4:00 pm

• 30-minute unpaid lunch break

JOB TYPE: 13-week contract (can be extended)

COMPENSATION: $85.00 per hour

$70/hr can be divided into taxed and non-taxed) + $15/hr for hotel accommodation)
