Nurse Practitioner (PRN)

Nurse Practitioner (PRN) As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care. You will perform comprehensive physical exams, document medical histories, order diagnostic tests, and create tailored care plans. Your expertise will guide treatment decisions and collaborative patient education.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough physical exams and patient observations. Record patients' medical histories, symptoms, and concerns accurately. Develop and update patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making.

Monitor and operate medical equipment as required for patient care. Diagnose health issues and initiate appropriate treatment. Administer medications and implement treatment plans effectively. Observe and detect changes in patient health, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Consult with other healthcare professionals and communicate with patients and their families. Educate patients and their families on managing and preventing illness and injury.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program. Active RN licensure in the state of employment or a compact party state. Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or AANP. Authorization to practice in family health, as per state Board of Nurse Examiners.

Prescriptive authority in the state of employment. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications. Previous experience in providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Proficiency with medical instruments and the ability to use medical technology efficiently.

Familiarity with data management systems and electronic medical records (EMRs). Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of disease prevention strategies and patient education.
