Intake & Hotline Counselor

Join Women Against Abuse as a Intake & Hotline Counselor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Answering the Hotline - Conducting crisis intervention and safety planning with callers.

• Ensure a Trauma-Informed client intake and orientation with DV counseling and support.

• Assist OSH (Office of Supportive Housing) Intake staff by assessing the needs of the person(s) presenting for service and arrange direct access to the Safe Haven or other safe option.

• Providing information related to maintaining safety, discussing available options, counseling services or referrals and connecting clients to said services (in the event space is not available).

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• At least one (1) year experience in an advocacy, hotline, crisis or related experience is required.

• Demonstrated effectiveness of crisis intervention is required.

• The ability to read, write and comprehend English is required.

Benefits & Compensation

• Pay rate: $19.09 per hour.

Work Schedule

• Full-Time position.
