Work Shift
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy, collegial team trauma team at Kennestone.
- Level 1 trauma center located in Marietta, just Northwest of Atlanta.
- Busiest Emergency department in the state.
- GME surgery residency program and teaching opportunities.
- Approximately 15% penetrative trauma
- Seasoned trauma program with large group comprised of 12 physicians, APPs, responsible for covering trauma, surgical critical care for trauma patients and acute care surgery.
- Flexible call schedule, in house trauma/EGS call requirement of 7 24-hour calls per month (or 14 12's).
- ICU week in rotation shared equally between partners.
- Backup call schedule shared equally between partners.

Key Responsibilities
The physician will provide trauma and acute care surgery services, including surgical critical care for trauma patients. They will also participate in teaching opportunities within the GME surgery residency program.
Requirements
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Trauma Acute Care Surgery. Preference is given to those with training at Level 1 or busy Level 2 trauma centers and completion of a 2-year fellowship program.
