Job Description

Psych Associates is an established private-pay behavioral health practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the Springfield area. We are committed to providing thoughtful, individualized psychotherapy in a professional and supportive setting.

We are seeking a skilled, dependable therapist who wants to build a strong caseload while practicing in a collaborative group environment. Psych Associates provides referrals, furnished office space, administrative infrastructure, scheduling assistance, and billing support so clinicians can focus primarily on excellent patient care.

The clinician joining our practice will have an immediate referral opportunity and support developing a sustainable caseload. This position is designed for a therapist who wants approximately 30 clinical hours per week and is willing to offer some appointments during high-demand hours.

Key responsibilities include

  • Provide evidence-informed outpatient psychotherapy
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and review progress regularly
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Coordinate care with physicians, schools, family members, and other professionals when clinically appropriate and properly authorized
  • Manage risk, safety concerns, and mandated-reporting responsibilities appropriately
  • Maintain clear professional and ethical boundaries
  • Participate in practice meetings, consultation, and professional development
  • Help patients remain engaged in treatment and complete care successfully

Required qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a closely related field
  • Current Missouri license or immediate eligibility for Missouri licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, psychologist, or other independently practicing behavioral health professional
  • Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
  • Ability to maintain organized, timely, and clinically appropriate documentation
  • Dependability and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team
  • Comfort working in a private-pay setting
  • Ability and desire to maintain an active caseload
  • Availability for some evening and/or Saturday appointments
  • Experience treating children, adolescents, families, or couples
  • Training in evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment approaches
  • Experience collaborating with schools, physicians, attorneys, or community professionals
  • Interest in developing a defined clinical specialty
  • Established professional relationships within the Springfield community

Requirements
